The Young Roots programme is an innovative project to capture the oral history of the YMCA one of Scotland’s oldest youth organisations. Sharing the Past to Shape the Future uses an inter-generational approach, led by our young people from YMCAs across Scotland, capturing oral histories from across the nation.
Ypeople, formerly YMCA Glasgow, is an independent, registered charity that provides support to vulnerable groups and individuals including the homeless, refugees, asylum seekers and young people to enable them to adapt to change and improve their quality of life.
Ypeople is one of the leading suppliers of supported accommodation services for vulnerable people in central Scotland, providing services across the central belt. A major focus of the support that we offer across all of our work is social inclusion and employability. We work in partnership with our funders and with our service users to deliver services.
