Nominations for Scottish Youth Parliament

Nominations for the two members to represent YMCA Scotland within the Scottish Youth Parliament has closed and YMCA Scotland is currently preparing them for the voting that will take will place within your YMCA or on the Election Day 31st May 2008.

Election Day

On Saturday 31st May 2008, an information event will be held at James Love House, Edinburgh. This event is open to all young YMCA people. The event will give you the opportunity to meet your candidates or if you are standing to meet your voters!!

The event will be attended by John Loughton, who is currently the chair of the Scottish Youth Parliament (or you may know him from winning Big Brother Celebrity Highjack!!) John and his colleague Marie MacFarlane will open this exciting event with an information session on the Scottish Youth Parliament and you will get the opportunity to ask any questions you may have. After lunch we will hold the election.

The event will run from 10.30am to 2.30pm. light refreshments and a buffet lunch will be provided.
