This report seeks to capture much of the learning and process of YMCA Scotland's journey to date in the delivery of mentoring programmes targeting vulnerable young people.
It focuses upon a preventative approach that recruits and trains local volunteers to act as mentors to young people deemed to be at risk of future dysfunction or, to put it in YMCA terms, deemed to be at risk of not achieving their fullest potential.
