New Distance Learning Certificate in Global Youth Work
YMCA George Williams College and Y Care International are proud to launch this new qualification in global youth work which allows youth and community practitioners to learn and reflect on how their practice can bring a global dimension to their work with young people.

YMCA George Williams college are running a second specialist Distance Learning course for supervisors and managers in Scotland this Autumn.
Introducing the YMCA George Williams College
The YMCA George Williams College is unique. It is the only specialist college in the UK in its field and the only institution offering a UK-wide qualification. It is widely renowned throughout the UK, and has been consistently commended by the National Youth Agency (NYA) in its annual review of programmes. The College works in association with Canterbury Christ Church University who award our undergraduate programmes. Our programmes meet all NYA and The Standards Council for Community Learning and Development requirements for professional qualification.
Founded in 1970, the YMCA George Williams College has developed innovative programmes and resources supporting the needs of workers and managers in a range of settings. With the best collection of specialist youth work books in Britain housed in the Mary Crosby library, we offer the chance to study at a variety of levels from pre-qualifying through to doctorate level. The annual degree award ceremony takes place in the splendid surroundings of Canterbury Cathedral.

Certificate in Supervision Studies - An essential qualification for managers, supervisors and all those who look after staff working in a community context.
The Certificate in Supervision Studies offers an opportunity to those who are currently supervising students, staff, volunteers, or other practitioners regularly to deepen their understanding and develop their capacities as supervisors. It is a part time programme by distance learning.
What is the Certificate worth?
The Certificate in Supervision Studies is validated by Canterbury Christ Church University and is a 20 credit Higher Education course equivalent to an SVQ level 3 Qualification. In addition, it is endorsed by The Standards Council for Community Learning and Development in Scotland (CeVe) to confer professional qualification for fieldwork practice supervisors in Scotland.
Cost & Location
Fees between £405 - £530 - Location will be in Glasgow / Edinburgh depending on student numbers.
